Findings
Across fifteen branded digital nomad routes, published floors jump hard. Malta’s Nomad FAQ asks for at least EUR 100,000 at the long-term accommodation stage. Japan sets medical treatment cover at JPY 10 million or more. Korea’s F-1-D checklist cites EUR 70,000; Latvia’s remote-work D visa cites EUR 42,600. Several Schengen checklists still sit at about EUR 30,000. Many other branded routes require insurance for the full stay but publish no cover sum.

We compared **branded digital nomad or remote-stay products** where an official government, ministry, or mission page (or mission visa-centre checklist) states a health-insurance cover amount or clearly says insurance is required without a published sum. This brief is capped at **fifteen** rows (loader maximum).
The **Published cover** column holds the amount as written (EUR, JPY, GEL) or “Not published …” when the page requires insurance but does not state a sum. Estonia’s EUR 30,000 figure is labeled “recommended” because the Abu Dhabi mission checklist uses that wording. Notes paraphrase scope and stage. We did not convert floors into a ranked USD chart because exchange rates and benefit scopes differ.
Excluded for this brief: other catalog digital_nomad routes that still need a stable primary insurance URL or that only repeat “insurance required” without new information (including Mauritius Premium, Argentina, Bahamas BEATS, Curaçao, Cape Verde, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Seychelles, and Sri Lanka on this pass), passive-income or golden-visa products, and third-party blogs. Georgia’s row uses the 2026 nationwide tourist insurance rule that applies to the visa-free remote stay path many movers use, not a separate nomad sticker.
