Can foreigners buy property in Poland in 2026?

Citizens and companies from the EU, EEA, or Switzerland generally buy without the foreigner acquisition permit. Non-EEA buyers commonly purchase an independent residential apartment (lokal samodzielny) without a permit when the flat sits outside a border zone. Houses with land, undeveloped plots, agricultural land, and border-zone assets usually require the ministerial permit first.
