Bangkok has the widest range of British, American, International Baccalaureate, bilingual, and other school programmes. It also has Thailand's deepest paediatric and specialist healthcare. The drawback is distance. Schools in Bang Na, central Sukhumvit, Nichada Thani, and other clusters can sit far apart.

Phuket combines international schools, private hospitals, beaches, sport, and an airport. Chalong, Rawai, Phuket Town, and Cherng Talay serve different schools. Cross-island traffic makes the wrong home costly in time.

Chiang Mai has international and bilingual schools around the city and Hang Dong, plus university-linked and private healthcare. Its slower scale appeals to many families, but northern fine-particle smoke can interrupt outdoor life and create a health concern.

Pattaya and the wider eastern seaboard can suit families connected to local schools or work around Chonburi and the industrial corridor. Hua Hin offers a calmer environment with fewer school alternatives, so a school change can become difficult.

Confirm accreditation, curriculum, language support, year placement, waiting lists, learning support, transport, meals, calendar, examination pathway, and all mandatory fees. A school using the word "international" is not automatically accredited by the association or body you expect.

Inspect balcony and pool safety, road crossings, mosquito screens, mould, air conditioning, water, backup power, and safe play space. Gated housing can offer facilities while increasing dependence on a car and school bus.
