Paris offers the widest choice of multinational offices, research institutions, universities, tourism services, and international schools. Lyon has international employers in health, engineering, research, and digital work. Toulouse's aerospace sector links teams and technical work across borders, while Sophia Antipolis, between Nice and Antibes, concentrates technology and research employers.

Strasbourg is a special case because the European Parliament, Council of Europe, European Court of Human Rights, and diplomatic offices create international workplaces. English can be a working language inside these settings without becoming the language of your landlord, neighbourhood clinic, or French administration.

Ask an employer which language is used for team meetings, safety instructions, human-resources documents, clients, and promotion. An English interview proves only that the interview can happen in English.
