Findings
Explicit family uplifts cluster in Southern Europe (Spain 75%/25% of SMI, Greece and Cyprus 20%/15%, Croatia 10% of average net salary) and in South Korea’s F-1-D (family pushes the floor to 2× GNI in the Seoul metro area, or 1.5× GNI outside it). Japan keeps the ¥10 million income test on the principal only. Hungary and Latvia remain the hard non-family routes. Barbados, Malta, Brazil, and Estonia publish family-friendly paths without a separate percentage add-on on the live pages we checked.
Table
| Item | Finding | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Spain telework (digital nomad) visaSpain | Principal must show 200% of the SMI per month. First dependent adds at least 75% of the SMI; each further dependent adds at least 25% of the SMI. | Official |
| Croatia temporary stay of digital nomadsCroatia | Solo floor is 2.5 average monthly net salaries from the prior year (about €3,622.50 on the live MUP page). Each additional family member, life partner, or informal life partner adds 10% of that average monthly net salary. | Official |
| Greece digital nomad national visaGreece | Stable resources of at least €3,500 per month for the principal. Raised by 20% for an accompanying spouse or partner and by 15% for each accompanying child under 18 (UK government guidance citing Greek consular practice). | Official |
| Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa SchemeCyprus | Migration Department publishes €3,500 monthly net for the principal and allows spouse or civil partner plus underage children for the same stay. Ministry of Finance scheme text adds 20% for a spouse or partner and 15% for each child. | Official |
| Hungary White CardHungary | Solo net income floor of €3,000 per month for six months before filing. Family members of a White Card holder or applicant are not granted residence for family reunification (newborn child born in Hungary is the stated exception). | Official |
| Latvia long-term visa for remote workLatvia | OCMA checklist is written for the principal only (2.5× prior-year average gross wage). UK government guidance states you cannot bring family members on this remote-work visa type. | Official |
| Barbados Welcome StampBarbados | One income certificate: expect at least US$50,000 over the next 12 months and/or means to support yourself, spouse or partner, and accompanying dependents. No separate published percentage uplift per dependent. | Official |
| Colombia Visa V digital nomadsColombia | Principal must show three current legal monthly minimum wages for each of the last three months. Beneficiaries (spouse or permanent partner, dependent children) are allowed; the principal must show sufficient income for them (six-month bank averages or employment certification), not a fixed published percentage of SMLMV. | Official |
| Italy digital nomad / remote worker permitItaly | Solo floor is three times the health-expenditure exemption threshold (Interior FAQ cites about €24,789 a year for a worker without spouse or children). Spouse and minor children may accompany under Consolidated Act family rules; higher support thresholds apply when dependents are sponsored. | Official |
| South Korea F-1-D Workation (digital nomad) visaSouth Korea | Solo floors scale by age and metro vs non-metro stay (multiples of prior-year GNI). With a spouse and/or minor children, Seoul metropolitan stays use 2× GNI regardless of age; non-metro or population-declining regions use 1.5× GNI. | Official |
| Japan Designated Activities (digital nomad)Japan | Principal must show annual income of at least ¥10 million. Spouse or child of a digital nomad files a linked status and must show relationship plus qualifying insurance; MOFA’s checklist does not restate the ¥10 million income test for dependents. | Official |
| Malta Nomad Residence PermitMalta | Current Residency Malta eligibility is a minimum €42,000 gross yearly income for the main applicant. Spouse and qualifying children may be included; the live FAQ and eligibility pages do not publish a separate percentage uplift per dependent (older median-wage add-on wording is no longer the headline rule). | Official |
| Brazil VITEM XIV digital nomadBrazil | Principal must show at least US$1,500 monthly from a foreign source or US$18,000 in available bank funds. Visas are individual; spouse, partner, or children typically use a linked family-reunion track rather than a published percentage add-on to the US$1,500 floor. | Official |
| Estonia digital nomad (teleworking) long-stay visaEstonia | Principal must meet the teleworking means table (MFA lists €132 per day / about €3,960 per month on the long-stay visa funds page; consular DNV pages often cite about €4,500 gross). Spouse and minor child columns are marked not applicable for teleworking; family may still apply under the same conditions case by case. | Official |

We compared **branded digital nomad or remote-work residence products** where an official page states either (a) a published percentage, multiple, or euro add-on when dependents join, (b) a flat income certificate or principal-only floor that covers accompanying family without a separate uplift, or (c) a clear rule that the route is not a family product.
Rows are capped at **15** with a citable primary or government guidance URL. We did not mix passive-income, pension, or golden-visa floors into this table. Portugal’s D8 household arithmetic was left out because consular practice still splits between readings of the means-of-subsistence scale. Cape Verde’s tourism program welcomes family but does not publish the commonly repeated €1,500 / €2,700 balance figures on the live program page we checked. Curaçao @HOME allows dependents without a published fixed income floor.
Each `value` paraphrases the published dependent rule for planners. Consulates can add checklist wording. Confirm the live page before you apply.
