Is Vladivostok a good place to live in 2026?

You thrive when your work links to ports, logistics, fisheries and related industry, regional services, universities or remote pay that is truly location-independent. People who like steep streets, sea air and outdoor weekends along the coast or nearby parks can accept the terrain. The city also suits households already tied to Primorye rather than treating the Far East as a temporary adventure.

You should look elsewhere when extreme distance from Moscow is a veto, when you need flat walkable grids, or when you assumed Pacific Russia equals mild subtropical living. Central Vladivostok around Svetlanskaya, the station area and harbour-facing slopes concentrates services and many mid-city flats.
