Croatia digital nomad income floor rises to €3,622.50 a month
Croatia now expects digital nomads to show €3,622.50 a month. That is 2.5 times the 2025 average net wage. Our pathway page used the older €3,295 figure.

Croatia’s digital nomad temporary stay still works the same way. You work for employers or clients outside Croatia. The money bar moved up.
The Interior Ministry now ties the solo floor to €3,622.50 a month. That is 2.5 times the €1,449 average net wage for 2025. This is a news summary, not legal advice.
What changed
- New monthly floor. Digital nomads must show at least 2.5 times last year’s average net wage, which the ministry states as €3,622.50.
- Wage data is official. Croatia’s statistics office published the €1,449 2025 average net wage in Narodne novine 21/26 on 4 March 2026, per the MUP means-of-support page.
- Family adds more. Each extra family member or partner usually adds 10% of that average net wage on top.
- We updated our catalog. Country To Live had used about €3,295 as the planning figure. We raised the pathway number to match the live MUP math.
What you still need
- Remote income from outside Croatia, not a local Croatian job.
- Health insurance that covers the stay.
- Housing proof for the period you request.
- Police records and translations in the format Croatia asks for.
- Enough savings or steady inflows to hit the new monthly floor for the whole stay.
Who this affects
- Remote employees and freelancers who were budgeting near the old €3,295 line.
- People renewing or refiling after wage-linked thresholds moved for 2026.
- Applicants comparing Spain or Portugal who need a clear euro income floor.
What to do next
- Read the live figures on the Croatian Interior Ministry page.
- Open our Croatia digital nomad pathway and rebuild your income pack.
- Compare Croatia vs Spain if another EU remote-work permit is still on your shortlist.
