Poland health score up after central e-registration voice reminders
We raised Poland’s health score by 0.2 points to 8.0/10 after Warsaw’s Ministry of Health switched on voice reminders for central e-registration from 1 October 2026.
We raised Poland’s health score from 7.8 to 8.0 on Country To Live. On 1 October 2026, the Ministry of Health confirmed that patients booked through central e-registration can get phone reminders from virtual assistant Anna, calling 7 days and 1 day before a visit from 116 117.
This is a data call for people comparing how easy it feels to get into the public system once you live there. It is not medical advice, and it does not mean every wait list just vanished.

What the October access tools change
- Reminders reach people without apps. Anna targets patients who left a landline and may not use IKP or mojeIKP, so missed-visit waste is not only a smartphone problem.
- No-shows can free a slot. During the call, a patient can cancel; the ministry says the freed slot can go to someone else instead of sitting empty.
- The bot stays narrow on purpose. It confirms or cancels. It does not rebook, collect PESEL, or take payment, which keeps the channel simple for movers who just need the date held or released.
- Hospital queues got tighter oversight the same day. From 1 October 2026, NFZ’s central queue app covers 15 more planned hospital procedures, so wait data is harder to hide across sites.
- This is access tech, not a miracle ward. We moved health only 0.2 because the story is booking friction and recovered slots, not a sudden jump in clinic quality or staffing.
How we score health for movers
Health on Country To Live tracks how usable care feels for someone who just landed: getting a first specialist slot, knowing when they will be seen, and not losing a place to a silent no-show. An 8.0/10 is a clear step up from 7.8, still short of the top European health scores on our board.
Open the Poland country page, run Poland vs Spain or Poland vs Portugal, or load Poland in the compare tool. Neighbors such as the Czech Republic and Germany remain useful checks if public-system access is your swing factor. Scan all country scores to see where 8.0 lands.
If clinic access is your swing factor
- Ask your employer or university how they enroll you in NFZ or private cover before you treat e-registration as your only plan.
- When you book, leave a working phone number the clinic can reach; Anna only helps if that number is current.
- Pair this score with cost of living and housing. Easier booking does not fix rent in Warsaw or Kraków.
We will update again if the specialist list stalls, reminders fail in practice, or new staffing cuts erase the access gain.
