How hot and humid does Singapore get in 2026?

Singapore has no meteorological summer comparable with June-to-August summer in a temperate country. MSS gives a broad ordinary pattern of about 31-33°C by day and 23-25°C at night. UV means ultraviolet radiation from the sun. NEA (National Environment Agency, the environmental and air-quality authority) reports Singapore's UV Index from Changi and warns that the reading may vary elsewhere with rain and cloud. Its practical advice is strongest for 11am to 3pm: use shade or an umbrella, broad sun protection and at least SPF 30 sunscreen. Return to a Singapore viewing in late afternoon. West-facing glass, an unshaded top floor and a bedroom separated from the main cooling unit can stay hot after sunset. Greener surroundings can help, yet no park or coast guarantees a cool night.

Exterior shade, curtains, ceiling fans and zoning one occupied room can reduce demand, but an undersized or poorly maintained system will struggle.

Cold indoor surfaces meeting humid outdoor air can create condensation around vents, windows and wardrobes. Air conditioning alone does not prevent mould.
